Our Mission:
Racial Harmony acts as the liaison or neutral party to assist all members of our community generate and promote understanding, cooperation, and communication among all races and ethnic groups.
Our Goals:

Racial Harmony works in partnership with community leaders, area schools, churches and neighborhood associations in an effort to continue to provide the above programs and continuously work to develop additional programs that will promote understanding, cooperation and communication among all races and ethnic groups

Our Programs:
• The Gathering – A youth recognition program honoring students K-12 who consistently demonstrate outstanding character traits. Nominated by their teachers and counselors for exhibiting peacemaking skills, promoting goodwill and harmonious interaction among their peers. In addition, the Gathering also honors select individuals for their outstanding service toward the betterment of the community.
• Harmony Dinners – A venue that provides members of the community the opportunity to discuss issues pertinent to racial and ethnic harmony. Developed as a way to get people talking about the difficult issues of race and ethnicity with an eye toward healing and harmony.
• The Educational Disparity Gap Elimination (EDGE) – Facilitation of the community effort to narrow or eliminate the educational achievement gap between majority and minority students.
• Peace and Harmony Youth Groups – A program designed to foster open, honest conversations among youth that discuss real issues between and among their peers. Youth to Youth encourages team building, promotes high self-esteem and leadership skills, increases problem solving skills and provides an environment to express one’s self in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
• The E.L.I.T.E. – Recognizes outstanding men, women and organizations in the Metropolitan St. Louis area for the phenomenal work they do in their schools, churches, families and communities. Extraordinary Leaders Impacting Today’s Environment.
